Really?? I thought I am the only one, I have been dealing with it for four months now, did yours go away? How long you had burning feet? Thanks for input
@shila24
Where did you get your injection? What does your MRI show and what was your diagnosis? Are you working with a neurologist and/or spine specialist for pain management? Do you have spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, disc bulges/herniations, bone spurs, pinched nerves/radiculopathy? Neurogenic claudication?
I have had about 6 injections and haven’t had this happen to me. I already had small fiber neuropathy that affected my feet. I wonder if a nerve was either irritated or if reduction of inflammation is giving space for nerves to heal. Nerve healing can be uncomfortable for a period of time. Nerves take a long time to heal if it is possible to heal once decompressed. Steroid shots only provide temporary relief.
Have you had EMG/nerve conduction studies done by a neurologist and skin punch biopsy for small fiber neuropathy? Have you had a neuropathy blood panel done?
I had l5 s1 bulging disc, my first injection was October 29 and 20 days later started burning feet really bad went back to pain management he said you need another injection got my second one December 14 and after 20 days started really bad again i ended up in ED twice, my blood work shows high b12 and B6 I stopped vitamins and watch my diet, they came down, been I started redness and pain in my palms, I am still dealing with all these things, I had so many panic attacks, one neurologist said in might be stroke neuropathy, one says is autoimmune, I do not know what to do
@shila24
I have had panic attacks and empathize with you. Talk with a doctor/psychiatrist about medications for nerve pain (like Cymbalta, gabapentin and Lyrica), and medication for panic attacks (antidepressants like Zoloft/sertraline).
It would be good to ask your neurologist to do a small fiber neuropathy skin punch biopsy and EMG/nerve conduction study. Keep an eye on bringing down your abnormally high vitamin B6 and B12 since that causes neuropathy.
Alsoha Lipoic acid, Acetyl l carnitine and magnesium supplements can help neuropathy. You can work with a nutritionist on diet/supplements for neuropathy and reducing inflammation.
How is your vitamin D level? Have you been tested for diabetes/sugar level? How is your iron level? How is your thyroid?
My EMG nerve conduction is completely normal, I have multinodular goiter and I can not take Alpha lipopic Acid it bothers my thyroid, I am taking lexapro , I think I may have Erythromelalgia , so desprete
I am not diabetic and my vitamins is normal, I got b12 and b6 under control I am traumatized by this neuropathy, before I used to take 400 mg magnesium for my heart when I stopped everything I also stopped magnesium since I learned all magnesium have added b6 which is scary, I found a magnesium with no b6 just ordered can’t wait to get it
