Has anyone experienced insomnia as a side effect of Evenity?

I had my second dose of Evenity on Sept 9. For the last few days I’ve had insomnia, unable to sleep. I finally relent to a sleep aid so averaging 4 hours nightly. I’ve never had insomnia so I assume it is a side effect of the medication. If anyone has shared this side effect can you tell me if it resolved. Did you have to discontinue treatment? Thank you!!

While it was signaled in the clinical trials, the side effect was rare.
Of concern might be that Evenity caused hypocalcemia in some patients. Hypocalcemia can cause insomnia. You might ask your provider for calcium monitoring.

I finished 11 doses of Evenity and starting experiencing insomnia after about 8 months. I sleep about 4 hours then wake up and can’t fall back to sleep. I decided not to take the last does. Also experienced aches in my thumb joints and hip joint. Also my hair loss seemed to get worse.

I finished 11 doses of Evenity and starting experiencing insomnia after about 8 months. I sleep about 4 hours then wake up and can’t fall back to sleep. I decided not to take the last does. Also experienced aches in my thumb joints and hip joint. Also my hair loss seemed to get worse.

yes, insomnia - achy all over - jaw pain on right side - finger on right hand are very sore - ribcage is so sore - loss of appetite since I've not been feeling well - I feel like a walking mess - I'm guessing it from Evenity

Have you had your calcium and Vitamin D checked? I had hypercalcemia one and I felt terrible.

I also have been experiencing hoarseness in my voice.

yes, all were within normal limits
