Has anyone been put on prednisolone for pain?
I was recently put on a course of steroids prednisolone for 19 days.
Very soon after starting the tablets I began feeling awful, pressure in head, nausea when eating, appetite loss, energy zapped, and my depression became worse I was and still am doing a lot of thinking and crying. My Dr said I could stop, I was down to 1 tablet a day, so I stopped. The pain didn't stop while on the tablets and since stopping them I am still feeling terrible with all the same symptoms I have described above. I started to think that there is something else wrong with me. I am wondering if it could still be the affects of being on prednisolone, could it still be in my system. Has anyone else found this?

First of all, welcome to the group. Once you have been on any kind of med it takes awhile to get out of your system. Hopefully your GP slowly weaned you off of the med. It's not advisable to go off of it, cold turkey. Maybe discuss this with your GP.
I have read this also but gp said that I could stop at any time if I felt so bad taking it. I began with 8 a day and was down to 1 a day when I spoke with gp and I had a week left. That was a week ago. Do you think that it would still be in my system now?
@ahrensburg75 It should be nearly all out of your system by now. It would probably be a good idea to contact the doctor about your symptoms.

1 Reaction@ahrensburg75 yes, I believe it would. If possible, try not to stress out about it, realizing that the med is still in your system. Try googling the med and side effects coming off of it. It might help you understand why you feel the way you do. Take care.
