Has anyone been diagnosed with a parasite in their body?

What are symptoms and who treated you? Could my constant headache be a brain parasite? I did visit St. John, VI.

I did. It was spring and I spent the week prior to symptoms doing yard work and planting seedlings. My husband and I had a volunteer activity that evening. In the middle of serving a spaghetti dinner to attendees, I suddenly, and I do mean suddenly, I was running fever and felt nauseous. I went to our car to lie down, hubby served dessert to our tables and then gave our apologies. I don’t remember getting home or much of the next two days. I was violently ill with vomiting, diarrhea and high fever. Hubby called an ambulance. I was admitted for fluids and symptom management after a stool sample.

It turned out to be a parasite associated with streams and creek banks.

Remember those seedlings? I had purchased from a truck farmer and the assumption was that he had used contaminated soil to plant them (wear gloves when handling seedlings if you don’t know the soil source!! )

Sickest I have ever been!

Well I did tho I was weak for quite a while.

I would tend to doubt your headache is due to a parasite. Tell me about it… location, frequency, duration, character (e.g. throbbing, stabbing, blinding,constant dull ache, et ). Associated events (disturbances in vision, sensory integrity, dizziness, fainting,‘etc)

Daily persistent 4 yrs/4 mos every day/all day. Have had 6 blood patches in my spine with glue, 7 different nerve blocks, Botox, migraine medicine infusions, vegus nerve treatment, Ketamine nose spray, off-label anti-seisure, anti-depressent, heart meds, 5 days in hospital running IVs of 5 medicine, on and on and on. Now doing PT and massage therapy on my neck 'cause docs think muscular skeletal (tenion headache). Ugh!

Are the blood patches due to leaking after lumbar puncture?

Is your pain pre frontal? Like forehead?

Pain is global. Docs thought I had a leak in my spine so we did the blood patches which were useless. Not to mention the lying flat for days and weeks after. Off to medical massage today and PT Thursday to see if that helps. So far, no. Had the cupping on my back last week. Stay well. Merry Christmas!
