Grey Results after 5 cycles of Kisqali

Posted by ampeltekian @ampeltekian, Mar 30, 2023

After 5 cycles of Kisqali and two pet scans I have mixed results
There are improvements in bones
There's stability in others
Progression in spine

New Mets in Liver and other areas of the bones.

Doctors are at a loss!

@ampeltekian this is perplexing indeed. Nothing like test results that are as clear as mud, huh?💔
I understand you had two pet scans. Did they give you two different results? One saying improvement and one saying progression?
Any chance you can get to a large teaching hospital or cancer center?

Two pet scans one at the 2.5 month interval when my CA 15-3 was gradually increasing and the second one was at the 5 month interval (2.5 months after the first one) when my CA 15-3 decided to be stubborn and not budge neither up nor down.

My Oncologist wants to move to Ribociclib Fulvestrant brew. Instead of Ribociclib-Letrozole. New studies show effectiveness apparently.

@ampeltekian, mixed results are confusing. I believe that @susane1121 is also taking Ribociclib and Fulvestrant for metastatic breast cancer. You might also wish to see this discussion:

Today I got the results of my latest biopsy. Pathology shows Triple Negative. Six months ago it was ER/PR+ HER -ve.

How can this be possible is beyond me. Kisqali was never fully effective even on day one. So was it TNBC even back then? How reliable are biopsies? I am devastated!

I think, the pathology result depends on the pathologist qualification to a great extend..
