Good PnP1 but DEXA loss

Posted by aspirecreative @aspirecreative, May 21 8:27am

I was on alendronate for 4 years. After the first two years, my DEXA showed a small gain. However, at the 4th year, it showed a loss, mostly in spine, small loss in hip. My understanding is that my labs showed that I was absorbing the alendronate well, and calcium was fine. Doc said it just wasn’t working for me. Has anyone else had this?
I am puzzled about why labs are good and outcome is not. Thank you.
