Good modalites for thumb atrophy ?

I have thumb throphy due to the mediun nerve being compressed for 9 months. One sprots doctor found this and the others didnt take the time. Just assoumed it was dur to arthritis.. I now have atrophy due to non use and also cannot pinch my thumb. I am doing esercises, used my EMS, PEMf but has anyone used therapeutic ultrasound ?
