Gallbladder pain

Posted by pianist3 @pianist3, 3 days ago

Hi, everyone!

So, I have on and off gallbladder pain, the gallbladder cleanse liquid (Amazon) does seem to help a little. Also ice and heat helps some too. I’m 57, post-menopause and post-hysterectomy, it seems that my low hormones slow down digestion. In the past I’ve had high alkaline phosphatase reading in blood draw, it has come down some. I think my liver feels sluggish at times too, I think holiday eating can cause that. My grandma had liver cancer and my aunt had her gallbladder removed, so I know the history is there for caution. Anyway, I’m seeing a new GP this coming Wed and I’ll discuss it with her. I’m thinking an ultrasound to check for stones would be good, and maybe some bile salt medicine? What foods are good to help support both gallbladder and liver; I’m thinking Mediterranean diet, less fatty foods, I don’t drink alcohol, but chocolate is a best friend, ha! Thanks everyone!! Blessings to you all!!

Years ago, I had severe gallbladder pain.
I didn't want it removed, but I had to do something.
I found a homeopathic cure:
Mix 5 ounces of olive oil with 5 ounces of grapefruit juice. Drink just before bedtime. Sleep on your right side. (By the way, be sure to do this on an empty stomach.)
I tried it, and the next day, I felt great. No pain at all.
(Another tip: don't make any plans for the next day. You'll want to be near a bathroom.)
Obviously, I'm not a doctor, but this worked for ne.
Cheap, too.

Hi. I don’t have gallbladder pain, but I do have a stone (or stones, not sure). I’m not prepared to lose the gallbladder at this point. The gallbladder diet is very high fiber (leafy greens, broccoli, oat meal, whole grain bread), and very low fat (lean chicken, fish). Other fruits and vegetables are good, but there are a couple vegetables they warn against (cucumber, asparagus). They warn against chocolate and coffee too. I think the issue is caffeine. I’ve veered away on special occasions without negative reactions.
