Gabapentin and Neurontin

Have any of you had issues taking low doses of these two meds together? I’m just beginning Gabapentin and need something additional to dull the pain until I see if it is gonna be effective for me. I know, check with my doctor, but wanted to hear real-world experiences, too, about combining these drugs, at least on short term, thanks.

I was diagnosed almost a year ago with per neuropathy in feet and legs but now it's in my hands ugh tingling like they are asleep and my handwriting is horrible now. My dr just prescribed me Gabapentin 100 a day I'm wondering about the side affects also because I can take 2 advil and be mellowed out for a few hours .I also have vestibular hypofunction and tinnitus and severe osteoporosis. And syncope.
Only take bone health and 1 BP med

Gabapentin and Neurontin are the same medication. Gabapentin is the chemical/generic name for Neurontin. If your asking if other pain or other medications can be taken with gabapentin then I did, but were prescribed by my doctor. I took various opiods including Fentanyl. Some people take also use certain antidepressants to help neuropathy pain and over the counter meds.
