frozen packs on hands and feet during Zometa/Reclast infusion
In preparing for a Zometa infusion next week, it suddenly occurred to me that using frozen packs on my hands and feet during the infusion might be worthwhile to prevent any neuropathy or pain in those areas.
I don't recall all the possible side effects I've read for these 2 drugs, but it's quite a list so figured neuropathy might be one of them. I used these packs during my breast cancer chemotherapy and did not develop neuropathy.
Has anyone tried this? It's seldom mentioned among any protocols so may be unnecessary.

I think it's mainly pain with Reclast. Still the idea makes good sense to me. I want to hear everything else you come up with.

1 Reaction@gently Will let folks know. I think I'm going to try it. It can't hurt and if I could stick it out for 4 hours during chemo, a shorter Zometa infusion time (hope for one hour) should be doable.
