Fractured pelvis

Posted by kikadziew @kikadziew, Dec 29, 2024

Three weeks ago I fractured my pelvis by being run over by inexperienced teenager skier. I was told that there was no dislocation of bones. I was given morfin in the hospital and got Oxycodone for three days afterwards. I got side effects from Oxycodone and continued on large daily dose of Tylenol. I would like to get a good advice from somebody who went through the process of recovery. For example should I use alternating hot cold compresses? Which is better cold or hot compress?

Having fallen off a fourteen foot ladder, and shattering the superior pubic ramus as well as vertical fracture of the right sacral ala, my friend received great and immediate relief from a single steroid injection at several areas at a pain clinic. It greatly helped his mobility through the healing process.
You might ask your physician about Forteo injections because the medication hastens bone healing.
Best wishes.
