Sue417,
Is this during the first four hours after injection? If so, you might try stopping calcium supplements and vitamin D. Some people report having this in the early weeks and it going away later.
I'm on Forteo and haven't had nausea or tiredness, but I'm stingy with calcium supplements. The most I'll take in a day is 500mg.

I think both symptoms are caused by high serum calcium. You might ask your prescribing physician to order ipth, ionic calcium levels and I would ask about pausing the medication for a few days. But I 'd want the serum draws first thing in the morning before stopping the drug. I hope you get a hold of someone today, not because it can be dangerous, but because it can be miserable.
It may be that you have too high a supplement or that you are taking too much vitamin D
It may be indicating something about your kidneys or your parathyroid gland.
Some very few on Forteo develop chronic hypercalcemia.
A few days pause isn't going to harm you in any way.

Hi
No I've been like this continuously since I started taking it and it seems to get worse every day. I do not take calcium and vitamin d and k I take 1,000 mg of d. I can't get a hold of anyone today I will have to call my endocrinologist on Monday I am seeing my GP on Wednesday. I'm just so frustrated because I've had brutal fatigue since my radiation treatment ended in April last year and it doesn't seem to get better because they keep adding things. I'm actually very worried today because the amount of fatigue I have I've never had this bad. I also have been anemic since the radiation my iron is good and my ferritin is good but my red count is low

Hi
I also have fibromyalgia and I'm extremely sensitive to medication so the dose I'm taking is 20 mcg I think is there a dose that's lesser. I saw my naturopath today and she tested all my systems they're supposed to be at 50 and they're at 35 so that tells me there's something major going on.
My blood pressure has been good I've been testing that daily

Sue417,
I'm sorry it can be so tough. I had bone marrow edema with radiation that they thought was causing my low RBCs. I had hyperbaric treatments which did seem to give me more energy. And the edema eventually resolved. I didn't have chemotherapy, so I know it was the radiation. Forteo is thought to increase hematopoietic cells and so, red blood cells.
But, Sue, it's probably the liver cyst. When they become large the can cause extreme fatigue and nausea. It's so unfair to have more than one thing going on at a time.

Hi
So my naturopath tested my Zoloft and it tested well so she added my 5-HTP at bedtime because she said when she tested them together it brought my levels up really well so last night I took it and amazingly this morning I am feeling a bit better mentally we'll see how the day goes. She took me off a lot of supplements and changed me to a B complex CoQ10 I have a new Statin pravastatin and it tested well the Crestor did not which I knew I'm still on my D with k and then added my 5-HTP and my uriexo which is a supplement for bladder. I've been doing a lot of reading on radiation fatigue and I think I'm just one of those people that I'm going to have it for quite a while. I had my ultrasound on my liver in March and it had not changed so not sure if it would be that or not but I see my liver specialist in September in London which is an hour away so I will see what he thinks it's monitored regularly. I guess the one plus is that forteo increases my red cells which would be good. I did not have chemotherapy either thank God

Sue417, I'm so happy you are feeling better. You've been even more besieged than I realized. Bless your naturopath. Thanks for this post.
