For how long you had some blood seeping out by catheter after RARP?
My husband has clear and light yellow urine for 2 days now, BUT any time he has bowel movement some minuscule amount of urine and blood passes by catheter out of the tip of his penis. It is really couple of drops but I am wondering if that is normal ? He is as of today 5 days post op. . His No2 is soft, no straining involved.
Thanks so much in advance < 3

I don't remember exactly, but as best I can recall I had a pad in my underwear with the catheter for most of (if not the entire) catheter week just to catch some occasional stuff like that. I think that continued for 3 or 4 days. I do remember sitting on the toilet during a BM and noticing discolored fluid coming out the tip on the outside of the catheter. For whatever reason I wasn't concerned about it, but it probably wouldn't hurt to ask your care team about it. I have no idea if that's normal or something to be concerned about. Best wishes.
Normal. But still freaky to see.
I had that a little bit. As long as he's not getting large clots in the catheter tube (I had that - photos if you want to know what to look for) he should be ok.
Just keep forcing the water into him.
That was one of the hardest parts, for me.
I always had it always after walking until they took the catheter out after two weeks. They said that was normal, provided it would stop when resting and that the color was light pinkish (as opposed to solid red) and without any clots.
Normal. Mine was mostly yellow for the 6 days that I had a catheter but right before the nurse went to remove my catheter at the office, I looked down at the big that was attached to me and the liquid was a yellowy orange. Of course this freaked me out but the nurse said not to worry.
Thanks everybody for sharing experience :).
It was just interesting that urine in the catheter and bag is normal yellow color but some blood comes out of tip of the penis during BM. It seems that it is normal - thank you 💖
