Focal Laser Ablation (FLA) Information
Hello,
I just had my post biopsy consult. I was told I'm a good candidate for the FLA procedure. Can anyone tell your experience and what if any are the "cons" of this procedure. It seems to be difficult to find any history on this.

Hello Matt, sounds like pretty good news. You must have a small tumor with a comparatively low Gleason score - not above a favorable 7.
Focal Laser Ablation is minimally invasive so side effects should be absent to low. I had surgery since my entire gland was full of cancer.
But I did have a Green Light Laser ablation for BPH and that was an overnight catheter and instant relief from symptoms…Best
