First Tymlos Injection
Who helped you with your first injection. The speciality pharmacy said I would receive my supply from Fed Ex and to watch a video or read instructions to get help!!! I’m going to call the doctor to see if I can go to her office the first time . I want to make sure I am doing it right.

I watched a couple of videos. Here is one.
edturner, you'll be surprised at how easy it is. Good idea to go to the office. Wherever your take the first injection don't forget fluids first, a little salt and then watch in case you are unsteady in the beginning. Best luck to your bones with this excellent medication.
I find that it helps to hunch over a bit so that the fat around that area bunches up. Luckily I don't have a six-pack of abs - I have no idea how I'd do an injection!
My endocrinologist had a sample injector and had me try it in her office. It really was easy. (I haven’t started the meds yet, though, waiting to complete a year of HRT in combo with other diet and exercise approaches.)
edturner, all the stuff the others have said! My doc offered to have me do my first injection in the office so he could guide me thru it. No reason yours should object; she's the one prescribing it and she has a vested interest in making sure you do it safely. Extra hydrating and some salty food did indeed help, and after a few shots I haven't needed those so much. I do mine after dinner so I'm usually hydrated anyway. The first few, do them at a time when you can sit comfortably for a while afterwards with nothing else to do, in case you're lightheaded or nauseous. If you are, don't freak out. It'll pass in a minute. OK, not always a minute, but almost.
If all else fails, remember that kids with diabetes begin doing their own insulin injections at around age 8. If an 8 year old can do it, so can you 😔
