First Evinity Shot! 7/17

Hello Everyone!

I just had my first shot of Evenity on 7/17 I wanted to write down my first shot experience.
I dint have to prep the night before so I just popped in at the transfusion clinic. I chose to take the shot in the stomach since I have some extra cushion to spare. If you ever gotten a cortisone shot it's slightly less painful, they did 2 shots one on the left and right side of my bellybutton. I have horrible anxiety so I sat for almost the entire hour appointment because I wanted to make sure I felt safe (you can do that, don't feel rushed to leave, the appointment are normally for 1 hour, you can stay the full hour if you don't feel safe). I felt horrible the rest of the day, I had no energy, I felt nauseous and irritable. I ended up sleeping the rest of the day. Next day woke with abdomen pain, I couldn't bend down, if I drop something it was gone to me. Currently on day 3 and I'm still sore but not much pain, still using heat pads and cold packs to help.
What I recommend: Prep the day before, make sure you have all your food, snacks, drinks on hand. Make sure everything is arm length, you do not want to be bending down or reaching up for anything you will cramp up and it will hurt.ICE PACKS, HEAT PAD,IBUPROFEN.If you can have someone drive you I recommend it, I felt so dizzy for a while I did not trust myself driving back. Also you need to move after the shot, I had to walk around every few hours or else the pain in my abdomen would get bad.
1/12 shots in the bag, I hope the rest go smoothly! But I will update if anything else happens or when the next shot happens.
