finger pain after surgery
Three years ago, I fell and broke my little finger (among other things.).
Surgery was done and the doctor put a screw into the finger to hold it together. It STILL hurts! I saw another hand doctor and he said it looks good to him with some arthritis around the screw. He said if I want him to operate again, he will. So, I am 82, with occasional afib. Is it normal for this to keep hurting after three years?

I don’t think it could be normal to continue to hurt. Are you sure it is not the arthritis that is aggravating it. I would be careful about another surgery. But maybe have it checked out again by another doctor . And another X-ray.
So sorry to read this. I fell and broke my wrist. Surgery fixed it but my pinky finger is bent down a bit and my wrist hurts if I move it the wrong way. It feels like a bone is moving. Seems that surgery can never be perfect.
