Evenity -Length and Effect of Treatment

I am sure that some of you are familiar with the graphs found in one article from a phase 2 study. This particular study was on usage of Evenity for 2 years followed by Prolia or placebo. There is a radical difference in PINP and CTX when Evenity is followed by Prolia, a true anti-resorptive. That makes me question the claim that Evenity is anti-resorptive after 6 months. I know that some who like to make proclamations will but my approach is to postulate about the effect.

Evenity is anabolic and then a mild anti-resorptive. Prolia is a strong anti-resorptive. I believe this is the reason my doctor said "we don't really know how Evenity works."

I focused more on the decline of the P1NP than the decline in CTX in that graph. I think there are mysteries remaining about Evenity.

There is a reason that there are studies comparing Reclast at the 6 month point of Evenity vs starting Reclast at 12 months (and some other protocols). I feel that research is lagging well behind our current needs.

If anabolic action stops early, I would be glad I did 4 months. presumably I could do that two more times between Reclasts- another study I read about.

I discuss all this with my doctor. I have been told by two professionals that Evenity is more anti-resorptive in the last months. One doctor told me after 3 months. We are not trained or competent to interpret all this and can only go by what our doctors tell us. I talked about Leder's charts with my doctor.
