Evenity & back pain, hip pain and neck pain

I have had 7 months treatments with Evenity so far. Back in October I fell, nothing broke, but I have been having horrible lower back pain, hip pain and sometimes neck pain. I’ve been to Dr, (back institute) X-rays, MRI… nothing ‘treatable’ like surgery, which is good! She seems to think it’s my hips. I do have history of bursitis. The pain is now both hips. I can’t walk 15 min w/o horrible pain… can’t stand 10 minutes. I will be seeing my osteo dr on 19 of Feb, and am thinking I need to go to my ortho dr…. But then when I did a search about this pain / Evenity…. This group popped up…. I had been on here before. Could I have this pain even now after 7 months and not only after injections??

I have joint pain after 9 Evenity treatments. It’s primarily in my knees and hips. I’ve resorted to taking one ibuprofen at lunch and two acetaminophen at bedtime so I can exercise and sleep. I have three more treatments and am hoping it will subside after treatment finishes.

I do at times take Aleve… ibuprofen doesn’t seem to help. I was understanding that the symptoms were restricted to injection time frames.. so this is concerning for me. We have big vaca coming in May… I need to be able to do a lot of walking for site seeing. I quit exercising because of the pain… not during but after…. I am trying to increase my walking daily. I used to be very active.

Yes, Evenity can cause joint pain, back pain, and neck pain. These are frequently reported side effects. While common, these symptoms can be severe. You should a report any new or unusual hip or thigh pain to your doctor immediately because Evenity is associated with femur fractures.

I know of Evenity side effects from posts and discussions on Inspire in which I have participated for years. I checked my memory of the remembered facts with a google search and then a look at the web pages listing the side effects.
I have also provided some discussions on Mayo, hotlinked below.

Thank you!
I can’t walk more than 15 minutes without horrible pain… or stand 10 minutes. SO concerning. My appt with osteo dr is 19th of this month and I have notified her if these issues as of yesterday. So we will discuss.
