Evenity and insomnia

Has anyone experienced insomnia while on Evenity? I just had my third injection, the infusion nurse reviewed side effects and it wasn't till she mentioned insomnia it dawned on me that Evenity may be responsible, I'm a good sleeper, but not since I started this drug, I blamed it on anything and everything. Thanks My doctor says it's rare, only 2% but I could be one of them. I'm getting off it. I've taken 4 different drugs, different classes, over the past 4 years and none have made any difference. I'm 78. I think I've been living with side effects of one drug or another for 4 years.

I am also experiencing insomnia. Tomorrow I am scheduled for my third injection. My doctor indicated the insomnia might be short term.

Were you able to just stop the injections? or did you have to ween off? I read that the medication stays in your system for months.

I had my 3rd injections last month. My doctor never indicated it was short term, but indicated none of her patients had that complaint. I left a message for her today asking how to proceed. I can't function with the insomnia. I will post the plan going forward.

Reluctant to take Evenity as insomnia is my major health problem for past six years dealing with trauma/cortisol issues.

What a coincidence. I, too, just had my third Evenity injection and I've also been having insomnia. It never occurred to me that the sleep problem's linked to Evenity.

Either way, I've had insomnia on-and-off for decades. It became worse in the months prior to starting Evenity. For the time being, I'm not worried.

But if I ever conclude I'm suspicious of Evenity's role in my sleep issues, I'll certainly update this thread.

Please let me know how you make out. I just had my 6th injection & just recently started to suffer from severe insomnia.
I can only sleep 4 to 5 hours at a clip; my husband is totally frustrated with me and doesn’t understand..,I have so many other side effects that would be greatly helped by more sleep….but, I can’t …by the afternoon, early evening, I need a nap. Even those are challenging & I’ve been having the most vivid, somewhat frightening dreams ! Need help.

I've been following Kathleen1314 and BoneLady on Inspire.com. Their experiences w/bone drugs & subsequent success stories with non-drug solutions has been helpful as I make plans for what to do after Evenity. It will not be another bone drug. BTW...both of these ladies are in their seventy's.

I have had my 11th shot and am experiencing more insomnia than usual. I sleep well generally, but just noticed an unusual increase in difficulty falling asleep. Have to take Tylenol PM at times.

Forgot about Tylenol PM - will try that. I’m only sleeping 4 hours a night & have to nap each afternoon….so frustrating & driving my husband nuts.
