ESD Surgery
Hoping my next endoscopy will show my esophagus cancer is either gone or qualified for ESD surgery. But I find it challenging to find a Surgeon that is qualified for ESD surgery. What is your experience finding a Surgeon?

@chubasdad what is ESD?
ESD, is an acronym for esophageal submucosal dissection.
a minimally invasive procedure that removes early-stage, superficial tumors from the esophagus's lining without the need for traditional surgery. An endoscope is inserted to mark and cut out the cancerous tissue, providing a less invasive treatment option with comparable long-term outcomes and quicker recovery compared to surgery. However, ESD is only curative for cancers without the risk of metastasis, and it carries risks such as bleeding and perforation.
What stage at dx? What treatments done? ESD is performed by specially trained GI doctors as it's done via endoscopy. EMR and ESD. I've seen this done on done of my fellow EC patients... in hopes of avoiding esophagectomy... but most still go on to have esophagectomy anyway... because ESD was not enough to guarantee all cancer was removed (pathology showed this).
