Encouragements from Prostate Cancer Support Groups: Share yours
I count myself very lucky to have found this Mayo Clinic Connect Prostate Cancer Support Group (plus a couple others that were helpful as well, but not as much as MCC) at the exact time I needed help.
To those of you who have answered my urgent questions, and answered some of my other questions before I could ask them because they were already asked by others before me; I wish to send you a thank you. Furthermore, I decided to pay it forward by writing about my cancer journey and share how PC support groups helped me.
On November 25, 2025, it was published worldwide.
⦁ Prostate Cancer Warriors: Encouragements from PC Support Groups https://www.amazon.com/dp/1069805300
My goal is to share my journey, reach as many newly diagnosed men and their partners as possible, and introduce them to a prostate cancer support group in their part of the world. Of course, I talk about support groups like Mayo Clinic Connect, which is near the top of my list of support groups.
The Kindle e-book version is scheduled for release on December 17, 2025. The text is in process, the e-book will not be an exact copy of the paperback. I invite Connect members who wish to write a 3-page story of how you have been helped by a support group (or more than one group, as is the case with me), I will be open (but not promise or guarantee) to including your story in the e-book. If you're interested in contributing, send me a private message to share your details like your real name (not the anonymized pseudonym) and location (state, province, or country of residence.)
Both the paperback and the e-book are priced not to make money, but rather to be able to reach as many of the newly diagnosed as possible. It can be our collective legacy and a way to help those who will be diagnosed after us.

Good for you. Hopefully, many worried patients will get some insight and hope that their future with Prostate cancer has a number of paths that can be taken to live a relatively healthy and happy life.
