Emotions and anxiety with a cancer diagnosis: How do you cope?
My emotions and anxiety along with ADHD since the diagnosis of cancer is extremely high.
I’m finding it hard to keep up with day to day stuff, not to mention all the treatments, etc.
What or how do we cope? I’m so tired and I still got to face radiation treatments. I go to counseling weekly and I’m ok a good part of the time. But I’m having trouble staying focused and emotionally charged all the time. Any suggestions?

All I would say about these drugs is to make sure they're not fighting with the effectiveness of any treatments you are having. Sometimes primary care physicians who prescribe these don't know the full story regarding this.
I don't have cancer, but my husband has stage 4 esophageal cancer, and he takes B1 vitamin. Maybe try that and see if it helps with energy.
I’ve had a Ct scan of my chest in January, compared to the one in September the doctor said one nodule has grown 2 mm. The 8 mm nodule which is the largest of the 5 is the same. My next scan is in May. These are not cancer.
Do you have an update on your Scan yet? Hoping you are doing well!
I found this site to be very helpful..

Oh, good! I was afraid I had said too much . . . I didn’t really want to add more to your plate. I’ve worked in the schools. Teaching is a knowledge sharing and caring field, which means everyone you know there wants to know more and is empathetic. But it does put a load on the receiver of all this. Sometimes you just want friends, want to discuss lighter topics, want distraction from cancer.
I was also hoping you knew that I meant write letters with the kids about common interests, not how you’re doing. As a teacher, you probably have favorite kids books, or science topics, or neighborhood legend to share. Maybe you’re the next Mr Beast 🙂
Wow you had some really good ideas. I like the one about the letter writing to and from the students. Thanks for sharing and caring. It helps to have support!!
I recently finished breast cancer treatment but then two months later my husband was diagnosed with throat cancer and started treatment last week. I have been researching sites to give us more information and help. I found the Mayo Clinic was using newer techniques that has provided better quality of life for throat cancer patients but his doctors declined to try the new procedures. Then I found this site for people experiencing cancer and their caregivers and have been reading posts for more information and understanding of possible things we can do to ease his pain and fatigue and loss of taste/appetite.
Welcome, @jmmg. Have you been diagnosed with cancer? I look forward to learning more about you.
