Posted by kjb2008 @kjb2008, Feb 10 7:42pm

Had bunion surgery in April 2025, after I have experienced electric shocks , burning, tingling , loss of balance, concave calf muscle (muscle atrophy , returned to work July 2025 then had the hardware and nerve cleaned up along with Sesamoidectomy
Procedure in December 2025. I still all the symptoms plus feel like I am walking on a large rock with a rubber band around my big toe. Any one have any of these symptoms. Cannot get to a neurologist until May getting hard to continue to work as I work 75% on my feet.

Welcome @kjb2008, The feeling you have like you are walking on a large rock with a rubber band around your big toe sounds similar to the symptoms of Morton's neuroma. Here's some information from Mayo Clinic on the condition - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/mortons-neuroma/symptoms-causes/syc-20351935.

While you wait for other members with experience to respond, I thought you might find it helpful to scan through the different discussions and member comments on Morton's neuroma. Here's a search of Connect with links to the discussions and comments: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/.

Have you looked into shoes with wider toe boxes or orthotics to see if they may provide some relief until your appointment?

I have purchased 4 different shoes with the wide toe box . Also got specialized shoe inserts from the doctor, nothing seems to relieve it.
