Edema/weight gain and overall pain with Evenity

Has anyone experienced edema and subsequent weight gain with Evenity? Since my second injection, I've gained 10-12 pounds, manifesting mostly in my upper torso, and arms. This in addition to worsening the mild arthritis I already experience in my hands and elbows, and feeling sweaty all the time. Sheesh. The cure is killin' me.
Doctor pretty much dismissed the edema complaint with, " It only happens in 2% of patients." Helpful that he knows math, I guess.
I'm going off it, there's gotta be another way. Suggestions?

@dustyskeleton have you tried Tymlos or Forteo? I had dramatic gains on Tymlos.

Do you mean a dramatic gain in weight or in bone mass? I'm only recently diagnosed and Evenity is my first try at osteo meds.
I won't take another med with edema as a side effect, it's too freakin' uncomfortable.
