Has anyone tried Duloxetine to replace Gabapentin?
I used Duloxetine for 15 years and switched to Gaba. I am finally away from Gaba!! Should I go back to Duloxetine? I still have Neuropathy.
Thanks.

I have an option of trying this too. I can’t tolerate Gabapentin. I hope someone will chime in about it.

@berk and @celia16 - There is a discussion where members have shared their experience with Duloxetine that you might want to read through.

I too have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and I am not diabetic my doctor put me on a low dose of Duloxetine of 30 mg I take that with two 300 mg Gabapentin he said if taken together they work the best I have been doing this for several years now I take the Duloxetine in the morning with my breakfast and the Gabapentin only at bedtime it helps me to sleep through the night as with any drug when I started on the Gabapentin I started on a low dose as it gave me dizziness but I worked my way up and after a very short time I had no more side effects

I guess I’ll get a prescription for Duloxetine soon. I’m hesitant to start if I don’t need to. I’ve been diagnosed with Vit B12 deficiency. I’m on a large treatment dose now. Yesterday, i had pretty severe burning on my arms, which is new. However, after taking only .25 mg of Klonopin, it stopped. I was pleasantly surprised i will only take that med sporadically.

I was on gabapentin and it did not work at all. I have been on duloxetine and this was before I was diagnosed with neuropathy. It hasn't helped at all either. I am also taking B12 and still nothing. I am hoping to get off the station drug to see if that will work. I hope you find that it will work for you. Best of luck to us all in finding a solution that will eliminate this disease.
