Drop toe. No pain. Is there a over the toe protection when stubbed?

I use a walker. Sometimes if I don't pay attention I will lick it while walking. No fall but I can cause a cut on the big toe. I only wear socks at home. I think that there should be some kind of cap for maybe all the toes. Maybe like leather?

I think @gba could be right, sounds like you are developing drop foot and, in my case, when it started, the toe would not clear the floor. Without shoes, I would get a cut or opening on the toe called turf toe which some football plyers get, and the toe would get caught while walking and make me trip. May I suggest, if you have drop foot, walking without shoes is dangerous. Wearing just socks can create a slippery situation and the shoe will help prevent the toes from becoming caught, bending under. When you wear a shoe, if your foot slaps the floor or you can't walk in a heel to toe situation, then you might have drop foot. Seeing a neurologist can offer a diagnosis and suggest ways to help prevent your problem. Like @gba, I wear braces as well and no longer trip. They are called AFO's for ankle foot orthotics. Good luck to you!

Amazon sells Zentoes, gel toe caps. I used them when I had sores on many toes. They helped! They’re like little condoms for your toes.

If you have drop foot, toe cover will not prevent tripping.

I realize that. I've been trying to maneuver the once-in-a-while doorway threshold I bump. I have to use the walker all the time so I do not fall that often. I do stub it. I have those toe protectors coming, I'll see what they do. There not a big expense. Thank you.
