Does osteoporosis bone breakdown slow down 10 years after menopause?

I read somewhere, maybe Dr Susan Lani thought not sure, that bone resorption slows down somewhere around the 10th year after menopause? Has anyone read this?

Do you mean Lani Simpson? https://lanisimpson.com/ Or Susan Lanni? https://health.usnews.com/doctors/susan-lanni-114563

I have never heard this about bone loss slowing after 10 years. However, in my experience there is a sharp dip in bone density at menopause and then the loss is gentler. I had the same experience on cancer meds that eliminated estrogen from the adrenals- sharp dip followed by lower rate of loss.

It would be great if you could share what you saw from this doctor!

windyshores, unfortunately I don't remember where I read this. It was from an online functional doctor though.

I believe you are correct that bone loss is gentler after so many years after menopause. That is what I really meant to say.

I think I saw in another post that you met with Keith McCormick DC? How did that go? Did you just consult with him or did you share your history and he made recommendation?

I saw Dr.McCormick in person and spent an hour with him. I also consulted online.

I have had his book for a long time.

He suggested Tymlos for me. Once I have finished that, I am sure he will be helpful in adding some holistic approaches but at that time, we mainly talked meds.
