Does one ever recover from overactive bladder?

I have been taking Betmiga or generics for several years and seem to be well now. Should I continue with this medication? It is very expensive

Hello...Is Betmiga the same as Myrbetrig?
Yes, essentially the same per google...just did it...different names
Are you male or female?
And you are cured?..
Otherwise, getting it from Canada is cheaper

I would not start, stop or alter the dose of a medication without first getting input from the prescribing provider. I even ask for suggestions / recommendations regarding over the counter products and supplements. You can often get useful information from pharmacists about alternatives and less expensive products. If you have a financial hardship (who doesn’t?) you can contact the manufacturer. Sometimes they have special benefit programs to help with costs.

A physical therapist can also give you exercises to help with
incontinence / over active bladder. You will probably need a
referral from your family physician. Good luck.

I have an overactive bladder. I am under the care of a Urogynecologist. I’ve had several tests to check bladder retention and emptying. I’m take a Myrbetric tablet every day. I’ve also had a procedure using a bulk filler which has been very successful in my case. The bulk filler may have to be redone in 5-7 years but it has been worth it. It was a same day surgery for me.

What constitutes an "overactive" bladder, please?

In my case I was up 3 to 4 times every night and frequent trips to the bathroom during the day. I finally got to the point that I was unwilling to continue that way any longer.

And now may I ask what a bulk filler is?

It is a filler(not sure what the material is) that is injected into the urethra walls to help close the opening (make it smaller) and make it possible to control the flow of urine.
