What were you diagnosed with and what treatments have you received so far? Are you taking medications for pain and are you getting help coping with chronic pain?

2 ReactionsI’ve been tested several times for Lyme disease and from what I’ve read most tests show negative but the symptoms I have and because I have been infected several times by deer ticks I know I am infected but insurance doesn’t cover it and I was forced into early retirement money is always an issue we’ve spent $13,000.00 on various antibiotics and natural remedies nothing seems to work. Yes I’ve tried pain medication and the only one that works at least makes it tolerable is Buprenorphine/Nalox 8-2MG twice a day

What types of specialists have you seen for testing/treatments?
Have you seen an infectious disease doctor or rheumatologist? Have you had any testing by a neurologist?
When you first were bit by a tick, did you get an antibiotic?

I’ve had several blood tests
Yes I’ve seen an infectious disease doctor
Yes I’ve seen a neurologist and was treated for the swelling in my lower legs
4 years ago I was bitten 4 different times by deer ticks
And I’ve taken years of antibiotics with no results

Have you been on prednisone/steroids to help manage inflammation and immune system? A rheumatologist may be able to provide more input/options.
Are you working with a pain management clinic to help you manage your chronic pain?
