Does anyone suffer from Myofacial Pain Syndrome?

I am 77, hurt my lower back in a lifting accident, 5 months ago. Had x-rays, MRI lumbar and now in second PT (manual) for relief, but still no relief. My pain doc says it is Myofacial, which could be long term and is a muscular issue, not nerve issue like sciatica.
