I would like to talk with someone who went through or is going through this kind of feelings after a breakup and find a kind of support to learn and help with my recovery. This illness called emotional dependency

I read the book back around 1988.

It was a very good read, but I don't remember a lot of detail.

I'm probably one of the few men who've read it, which is a shame.

I don't know why people make up diagnoses for everything and give it initials for authority. What's ED emotional dependency?
I loved our routine, someone to be with, to dream with, with whom to be intimate. Now that's gone. My mind/body has neuronal and biological expectations which do nt get fulfilled. Like taking thr extra step when there are no more stairs. Love is way down the line. Early on it is habit. Habits are difficult to break.
If there are precursors, like a bad childhood, which make you vulnerable to intense attachments, the habit can morph into an addiction.
These things are well understood by COMPETENT professionals, not so much by pop writers who want a blockbuster like Talking to Prozac.
