Does anyone have problems with the abdomen from cipd?

Posted by Mary Ann @crissma, May 22 7:22pm

I started having chemo induced neuropathy while I had breast cancer 8 years ago. I have it in my feet, hands and abdomen. Does anyone else have it in their abdomen? I’m at my wits end trying to find relief.
Thanks
Mary Ann

Hello Mary Ann @crissma, Welcome to Connect. I wasn't sure if you were referring to abdominal symptoms from Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) or Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP).

You might want to scan through the list of discussions in the Cancer: Managing Symptoms Support Group - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/cancer-managing-symptoms/ and also the discussions on chemo-induced neuropathy - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/discussions/?search=chemo%20induced%20neuropathy.

Have your doctors offered any suggestions for treatments that might help with your symptoms?

Yes take softeners. It is so hard to get a good doctor who doesn’t brush you off.
