Dizziness and Faint feeling

Posted by csmith910 @csmith910, Sep 26, 2023

Hello, I am 23 years old and I had a bad sinus infection about 6 months ago. Since then I have been feeling very dizzy and faint about every day. I also have pain/pressure in my ears and face but have been told my sinuses and ears are clear. I am also on sertraline 50 mg for anxiety and have been on it for years. I am just at a loss. I can not even function everyday because I feel like I am spinning. And I can't seem to get any answers. Also recently neck pain began too and I dont know if thats from sleeping wrong or something to do with this ..any advice helps. Thankyou

I also forgot to mention I feel much more alive in my dreams than reality. Real life doesn't feel real to me, probably because I feel like I am floating all the time. But my dreams are VERY vivid

Hello @csmith910, I know it must be really frustrating having constant dizziness and still no answers. My daughter had similar symptoms but it wasn't constant. After a few years of fainting episodes we found out she had Long QT Syndrome which was diagnosed by a Mayo cardiologist. I'm sure you have probably done a lot of searching but if not these Mayo Clinic references have some information that may be helpful:

— Dizziness – Symptoms & causes: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/dizziness/symptoms-causes/syc-20371787
— Symptom Checker – Dizziness in Adults: https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptom-checker/dizziness-in-adults-adult/related-factors/itt-20009075

Have you thought about seeking help at a teaching hospital or major health facility like Mayo Clinic?
