Diverticulitis: pain and discomfort after a flare.

I’m wondering what people’s experiences are with pain or discomfort after a flare up? How long after a flare begins do you experience discomfort? I’m on day 10/10 taking antibiotics, and am still experiencing some discomfort leading up to a BM. I had a very good day yesterday comfort-wise, and possible overextended myself. Is there a rule of thumb for when you should expect there to be no pain at all?
