Disc bugle with tear T level.

Disc bulge with tear; can injections and PT heal the tear? My MRI at the T level shows a disc bulge above a fusion with a tear. My pain doctor thinks it could heal with steroids injections; is this true? My PT is Taekwondo it has built my core better than anything else I have done (I am 65 and 8 back fusions over 20 plus years).

Has he suggested lidocaine injections?

How long ago did you get the disk bulge and had the PT caused any improvement at all?
Is the steroid injection because the PT did not work?

Has he offered any other options? Do you have scar tissue from other surgery and is this causing a problem too?

I have extensive scarring from my fusions (S1 now through the first T level, this has been done through 8 or 9 surgeries starting back in 1987).
The plan is to combine PT (Taekwondo) and the injections.
