Dimethyl sulfoxide DMSO

There are links discussing in great detail the use of this
“ solvent” for the treatment of PC
Most doctors that I ask about this either never heard of it or quickly poo poo it.

Has anyone here used it or studied it?

There are a number of links discussing the use and results.

I have used it for years for pain and injuries. Beside the GARLIC smell which almost instantly comes out of every pour in your body.

It was a hippie treatment for many years making it difficult to find and the question of purity was always a concern.

But the FDA has approved its use for several things and I wonder if the use of it effected the results of my first PSMA test which had my doc call me within hours of taking the test saying the results of your test are in presenting great news and a huge mystery.
The great news is your cancer is confined to your prostate area But the mystery is how in the H have you lived with a PSA of 100 and the cancer isn’t in your bones or anywhere else???
Now three months later the radiologist told me my test is virtually the same as my first test with a few shadows that we can zap with Proton or Cyber-knife.
I was happy ready willing and able to follow his recommendations However some one looked at the 2nd PDMA and had a completely different recommendation which resulted in asking if I could post the images.
I’ve heard many of you refer to “ lesions “ a word that was never used even by the new oncologist. The word used is “ shadow” is that a word interchangeable with lesion?
Let’s not forget none of my docs have EVER told me “ stage “ anything.
And the posts about “ remission “ has never come up even though it was said “ you’ve caught this VERY EARLY but no treatment was planned or done except surveillance which went on from 2016 with a PSA between 5 and 9 until my good fortune to meet a very cool German girl who raced Porches and changed my Quality of life score from ho-hum to yippee IA!!!. Everyone in my life noticed the change but my PSA JUMPED TO 50-60 but I felt like a 30 something yo man
Not sure how all of that affected my life as a whole but I went from watching IMSA races on TV to driving her GT3 around race tracks with her as my teacher.
My biggest regret was not moving to Germany with her.
I’ve had nightmares and regrets more often than I’d like to admit.

“lesion” refers to a suspicious area, sometimes benign, sometimes cancerous.

Though DMSO has apparently shown promise in studies related to prostate cancer, the question is whether it’s FDA-approved. If not, doctors won’t usually bring it up, except perhaps for off-label use.

I don't think I can put a link on here but you might want to do a search for
"A Midwestern Doctor" he has much to say about DMSO.
