Digestion affecting heart rhythm

I’m interested in knowing if anyone else has experienced “missed” beats while suffering problems with digestion, particularly while having a bloated stomach. Gastroenterologist thinks it may be an affected vagus nerve. Or Pylori? Sometimes I think that solid food seems to abate it.

Thanks jadillow. It seems we are demonstrating something that is not generally mentioned by gastroenterologists or cardiologists. Perhaps a consultant in Mayo could comment on this symptom. ??. Could our moderator enquire for us?

On left side of sternum near pec. Hard to explain but when I burp I can feel it along that side. Maybe upset stomach possibly ? I have had every test done for my heart and they all say there should be no issues but sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me.

Chest pains to left of sternum. All results negative for heart issues as of a year ago. Can feel swelling below sternum after eating. Reflux. Is it possible this acid or something could cause chest pains ?

Hi jadillow. Have a look at healthline.com, and get page ‘Chest Pain and GERD.’ The answer to your question is ‘yes’ but, of course, all chest pain should be professionally assessed.
