Diagnosis issue. Impaired Insulin Signaling
Does anyone have experience with what seems like an Impaired Insulin Signaling problem. If I eat too much sugar/carbs, OR if I have an infection, UTI, Pneumonia, Covid Shot, I have an episode which includes Dumping, nausea, vomiting, passing out, can’t pick up head, 4-6 hrs. Fluids solve problem Glucose is normal. Considering Euglycemia Ketoacidosis. Fits symptoms But not tested, 7 doctors are baffled. Still searching for answers. Over 10 years.

I'm not familiar with such a syndrome. First may I offer sympathy, and second observe that it certainly is interesting! Do you have any blood glucose issues at other times? Are you on any other medications? If I can ask, are you seriously obese?
Diabetes certainly has a number of links to other nutritional and stress issues that show up on the insulin resistance side. Besides too much sugar, anything else you're eating too much of, that could be a trigger? Can be as simple as red meat, as complex as any two or three things that you eat together on rare occasions. Any other allergic issues? Essential fatty acids - all those omegas - are another place to look, but yes, I see you have non-nutritional triggers as well.
Just grasping around for straws or hints at the moment.
Thanks for comment.
I’m in prediabetic range.
I weigh 135 so not obese.
Yes- Gestational and non gestational causes. That’s why euglycemia ketoacidosis fits perfectly. Mt latest Dr says no but I can’t test my theory till I have an episode.
I follow diabetic diet and the glucose goddess as best I can. Allergist says nothing showing. I can control my carbs. I can’t control an infection. Very frustrating.
Well actually, my introduction to diabetes had some similarities! It looks in retrospect like all of a sudden I had sky-high insulin resistance, but in my case my blood glucose went sky-high, too, and I went into ketoacidosis.
That led to a trip to the ER and a weekend in the hospital for observation, a month on insulin, a month on Jardiance, and since then - a little metformin, exercise, and watching my diet, A1C mostly below 5.7.
I asked the doctors, "So what WAS that?" and all they can do is shrug.
Yes. Exactly. That’s why I call it a signaling problem. Most times it works. On rare occasion it doesn’t.
