Diagnosis help - Is this Ulcerative Colitis?
After multiple courses of Tetracycline, Metronidazole, Amoxicillin, and Clarithromycin to kill H. Pylori a year ago, BMs went from one per day to four just in the mornings before 11 am.
At same time, started having great urgency to go and seeing nothing but mucus in the toilet bowl. Started having pain in right lower belly. Been going on a year.
Ultrasound results came back normal.
Colonoscopy biopsies results came back normal except for "prominent mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue " in Terminal ileum.
C. Diff stool test was negative.
Calprotectin level was normal at 5 mcg/g.
What could this be? Is this Ulcerative Colitis? Is this Microscopic Colitis?
Very hard to get an appointment with GI, 4 month long wait times.

Without seeing a GI it's hard to know what is going on. Ulcerative Colitis is typically confined to the colon, but other inflammatory bowel diseases, like Crohn's disease, can occur throughout the digestive tract.
Have you been able to get an appointment with a GI doctor? I know the wait times for new patient appointments are long, and that's frustrating. Has anything you've tried helped at all?
