Desperately seeking answers to how to count Days Radio Active

Desperately seeking answers to how to count Days Radio Active and information in relation, because getting contradictory information from those are my medical people: including THE Radiologist, film library with Nurse of number to call after hours; and before the Radio Iodine the Endocrinologist.
