Dermatologists who perform a thorough skin check
Can anyone recommend a dermatologist specializing in melanoma located in Baltimore County or Montgomery County, MD? My pathology report notes severe melanocytic dysplasia and my father died of melanoma. The complete excision surgery is scheduled in a few weeks. I would like to be monitored in the future by a dermatologist with a special interest in melanoma who does a thorough skin check. It has been recommended that I have these checks every 3 months.

I wanna make a recommendation here, and if you decide to take it, it’s yours, if not, that’s OK too. My first bout of skin cancer was in 2017, it was basal cell carcinoma, and I had to have reconstruction surgery on my face. The doctor I saw was absolutely amazing. He is located in Pennsylvania. His name is Dr. Lance D Wood 717-972-4250. He’s the most amazing doctor, he used to practice at Ada West Dermatology. When I got cancer again, he was not in the practice and he went back east to open his own practice. However, he is the kind of doctor that I would want in my corner. He is absolutely professional, skilled and very good with his patients. I was very thankful to have him in my corner. I was diagnosed with cancer on the face. He removed it and was able to reconstruct my face never knowing that I had even had it. I hope this is helpful for you and I wish you all the best.
