Depression support groups
Anyone know of a physical decent depression support group? Online is nice but the overwhelming loneliness is better served by physical bodies.

Hello @johnsonk
I appreciate your recent posts on Connect. I understand from this post that you are looking for a face-to-face support group for depression. If you have a therapist, you might check with that professional to see if there are any in your area. You can also contact your local mental health clinic and/or hospital for groups.
There are some national groups that meet however. Here are some names and websites:
NAMI, https://www.nami.org/Find-Support
ACOA, http://www.adultchildren.org/meetings
If your depression is connected to a past (or current) addiction problem you can google these organizations for meeting places and times near you:
Alcoholics Anonymous, AA
Alanon, http://al-anon.org/al-anon-meetings/find-an-al-anon-meeting/
Narcotic Anonymous, NA, https://www.na.org/meetingsearch/
Many churches also have faith-based support groups with different names such as:
Celebrate Recovery, http://www.celebraterecovery.com/
Grace Alliance, http://mentalhealthgracealliance.org/
I hope that you find the support you are looking for. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Teresa
If you go to Psychology Today's website and search for depression support groups along with your city, you will likely find quite a few and if you are in a reasonably large city, there will likely be one there.
