Dental pain after getting covid? No heat/cold sensitivity, just pain

Posted by kayabbott @kayabbott, May 30, 2023

I went to the dentist today for 6 mo checkup, and the teeth cleaning was agony. Pre-covid there wasn't much pain but now it feels like nerve roots are being hit. No sensitivity to heat/cold. I got covid in early March and still have some fatigue/chest pain. I haven't noticed elevated pain signals anywhere else, but I did have swollen/bloody gums for the first month after covid.

I had COVID in Dec. 2020 at the age of 71. I am male. Since then, I have had chronic fatigue, dizziness, headaches, and an acute cough. In Oct. 2022, I experienced sharp pain in healthy teeth, unrelated to temperature. My dentist suggested it could be related to problems in other teeth but wasn't sure.

The pain lasted several days, eventually going away on its own. While I never associated the pain with COVID, I also never identified a cause.

Yes! I have bad gums but I get these headaches that feel like bad sinus pain, migraine, teeth, jaw, ear aches all on one or randomly... Been dealing w/Long Covid for 3yrs now & nothing has gotten better & Dr's here aren't helping me so it's been extremely frustrating. I have so many other symptoms that debilitate me & I feel the Dr's. have failed me here in my state.
