DCIs hi grade after lumpectomy

Has anyone selected a lumpectomy without radiation? Pathology report posted a 7m clear margin. What was your outcome?

I had a lumpectomy in September for DCIS ER/PR+ stage 111. The DCIS was removed during the biopsy & the lumpectomy pathology report showed no cancer present. After researching radiation & AI drugs, I have chosen to not have radiation or take AI inhibitors. I also had a DCIS Oncotype test that showed a 9% chance of reoccurrence without any further treatment. Only time will tell if I made the right choice. I will be getting a mammogram alternated with an MRI (I also have dense breast tissue) very 6 months. My thought is that if there’s a reoccurrence of cancer it will be caught early enough to be treated. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s been 5 yrs since my lumpectomy and to this day my breast are really sore and fear if this is abnormal. My recent mammogram was negative but still worry why
