Cubital Tunnel Decompression
I had a reverse shoulder replacement three years ago and have numbness, tingling, lack of dexterity, cramping and weakness in my hand since then. I had a simple cubital tunnel decompression in December 2013 to address the symptoms, however, the numbness, lack of dexterity, weakness and cramping in my hand has continued to worsen. Tests indicate there is compression in the elbow and the orthopedic surgeon I consulted said she could do a revision left cubital tunnel release with anterior submuscular transposition and supercharge median to ulnar nerve transfer. I am 77 and the surgeon could not say with any confidence that the surgery would help. I am not in constant pain and am not on pain medication. Has anyone had this surgery and has it helped? I got the impression from the person who schedules surgery that the surgeon has not done many of these surgeries.
