Crps, weaned of all medicine

Posted by ld800 @ld800, 2 days ago

I’ve had crps since 2006. It was treated with gabapentin and 160mgs methadone a day. I’ve had at least 50 nerve blocks/injections. Also much p/t. A sympathectomy, (failed) and a spinal cord stim and had it removed because it spread the crps. I have in low back and legs. Two years ago they cut methadone from 160 to 60mgs/day. Last year I was weaned off that, with only norco for last year. Last month, they decided to wean me off norco. I am 62, I have never had a bad urine test. I got hurt a few years ago in a fall off a roof, had 18 fractures. They wouldn’t increase pain meds while in hospital. My chief complaint- other than breathing was the crps. It hurt worse than all the fractures. Now I am left with nothing. I went to the ER and LABLED me as a “pill seeker” and showed me the door. I can barely walk and breathe. I am praying the lord takes me every day. This is so wrong. So many like me have died already. There is no Hypocratic Oath, and the doctors and hospitals have become accomplice to murder. Refusing treatment or helping someone is against the law. Even if you walk by a car accident and don’t help if your an emt, you can be jailed. I was an emt for 3 years, donated every weekend to help our small town, I expect better treatment than this.

This is SO WRONG! My husband was taken by ambulance to the ER last year and he was crying and screaming in pain. I asked the doctor to give him something for the pain and he said that they could only give him Tylenol (because of the fakers looking for a fix). You can count on being in the ER 18 to 24 hours or longer before they have a room for you. The hallways and sometimes the waiting rooms are full of suffering patients on gurneys, many crying out in pain. You won't see a doctor for at least 2 hours on most nights. They can go on on their computer and see that he has spinal stenosis among other conditions that cause severe pain. They can also see that he takes hydrocodone daily. My husband has told me to let him die rather than going to that ER. He says he won't suffer that indignity again. At least he can take his pain meds at home. Of course, I'll still call 911 if I think it's necessary but I don't blame him for feeling that way.

I agree ! They did the same thing to me. I seriously felt like I was being treated as a drug addiction! It was very distressing and disturbing !

You know something is really wrong when animals are treated with more care than people.
