Correlation between sleep apnea (and using CPAP) and PN (foot numbness
Is there any chance that having sleep apnea and using a CPAP can affect/worsen my PN (foot numbness) condition?

Not sure but I don't think so. I've had neuropathy for 30+ years and obstructive sleep apnea was diagnosed about 5+ years ago when I started using a CPAP. It hasn't had any effect on my neuropathy numbness/tingling symptoms. I'm not a doctor and have no medical training but can say if you aren't getting a quality night's sleep and the body doesn't get the rest it needs there are a lot of things that can be impacted. The CPAP itself is meant to help improve the sleep so if it's not doing it's job for many possible reasons, I suppose you could said it can have an effect of some sort. Just an opinion and I'm sure others may also have some experience to share with you.

2 ReactionsI've had sleep apnea and, on a C-PAP machine since 2004 and did not show any signs of neuropathy until 2009 and even the initial signs were minor for 4 years. Like John Bishop, I'm not a medical expert but I doubt there is any connection.

1 ReactionI have been on CPAP for 30 years. I sleep well and the data shows that to be the case. I have had neuropathy in my lower legs and feet for many years as well. I have never perceived that sleep apnea has had any impact on the quality of my sleep.
