Hi, I am wondering if anyone has experienced constant post surgery cough? If so, what have you or your Dr tried for relief.
Thank You
Cindy

Rockstar, remind me how long ago your surgery was? it's not uncommon to have a cough for a period of time after surgery. Have you told your surgeon about the cough to make sure nothing else is going on?

Drs Wanted me to cough after Video Assisted Thoracic lung surgery (13 months ago) ...the pain meds allow that. I even coughed up blood gook once.
However, after three weeks I started to develop a rumbling in the throat more wet cough. I called into my surgeon and was told to test for Covid. Sure enough. I was positive. My primary care doctor sent me some antiviral medication and that helped cough immediately. I do not know how I caught Covid as I was very careful. No socializing, curbside pickup of groceries and I was at 4th month out from booster.
