Colon cancer and diarrhea

Posted by janoh @janoh, 1 day ago

My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer one year ago. He went thru six months of infusion chemo and had to wear a colostomy bag for nine months. He is cancer free as of today.
He started noticing that every time he eats breakfast with eggs, he has diarrhea.
He loves his breakfasts. We are wondering if it is the fried eggs that could be causing the explosive diarrhea?
We are praying that it isn’t the cancer coming back. He has his one year follow up CT Scan this week.
Anyone else have diarrhea from certain foods? Thank you!

I couldn't get eggs for about 9 months after my colon cancer surgery. It will take some time.

Are eggs the only food your husband eats that causes diarrhea?
As a cancer survivor with low anterior resection syndrome, I frequently experience diarrhea seemingly without regard to what I eat?

He just now pin pointed it to eggs. He is afraid to eat them because of the diarrhea. He hasn’t been able to make it to the toilet. It comes on without notice.
